Wyoming Energy Savers Program (WES)
The Governor’s Office and the Wyoming Community Development Authority spearheaded a partnership among many industry leaders to create the
Wyoming Energy Savers Program (WES), a program designed to address energy efficiency improvements for Wyoming homeowners. The program is a statewide second mortgage program offering deferred and amortizing loans to income-qualifying homeowners needing assistance in paying for essential, cost-effective energy efficiency improvements. Such improvements include furnace replacement, ceiling insulation, caulking, weather stripping, storm windows, and set-back thermostats to meet immediate winter needs. For a list of participating lenders or for more information on the WES Program, please contact WCDA at

The Department of Family Services administers the federally funded LIEAP/Weatherization programs and provides oversight to local not-for-profit agencies that deliver authorized services. The LIEAP program helps eligible low-income families with home heating energy needs. The program assists with payment of home heating costs and weatherizing homes to promote efficient energy use and reduce energy costs. Eligibility for the program is based on family income and submittal of proof of responsibility for paying home heating costs.
The
Wyoming LIEAP program has been in existence for more than 20 years and serves an average of 10,000 people annually.
The LIEAP application process is handled by phone and mail. Wyoming residents may obtain an application by calling 1-800-246-4221 or 307-472-4221 or by mailing a request to: LIEAP, 2241 Farnum #103, Casper, WY 82609.
