Manager, Engineering- 1224

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership of Engineering and GIS Departments.
  • Management responsibilities for a team of Engineers, Corrosion Technologists, and GIS Technicians.
  • Coordinate implementation of operating policies, standards, and procedures
  • Manage work processes and functions within the engineering group
  • Manage work processes and functions within the GIS group
  • Research and analyze new technology and tools for cost savings or improved performance potential
  • Develop and manage goals, tactics and timelines for engineering and GIS processes
  • Coordinate and manage engineering consultants
  • Support Operations in expense and capital projects
  • Coordinate engineering responsibilities with other internal departments
 
 
Educational Requirements
 
  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Basic understanding of design processes and principles, basic understanding of capacity modeling, basic understanding of risk modeling, and basic understanding of GIS tools and processes
 
 

Job Requirements

  • Valid Drivers license
  • Strong ability to interact with employees, regulators, corporate support teams, and customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of company policies and practices, and regulatory and tariff requirements
  • Experience with planning operating costs, budgets, reporting and research
  • Project management skills
  • Working knowledge of National, State and local codes

 

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of natural gas utility business
  • Understanding of storage field operations and analysis5 years of successful management experience
